Rafael Jodar will represent Team Europe at the 2026 Laver Cup after captain Yannick Noah selected the young Spaniard as the team’s fifth player. The tournament will take place from September 25 to 27 at The O2 Arena in London, where Europe will aim to reclaim the trophy from Team World.Jodar’s selection comes after an outstanding 2026 season. The Spanish teenager has climbed to World No. 25, becoming one of only two teenagers currently ranked inside the ATP Top 100 alongside Brazil’s Joao Fonseca. His rapid progress has made him one of the fastest-rising players on the ATP Tour.Before making his mark on the professional circuit, Jodar spent time developing his game in the United States. He played college tennis as a freshman at the University of Virginia during the spring of 2025, where he continued to improve before fully committing to the professional tour.The clay-court season proved to be the turning point in his career.
