In an interview with PEOPLE, Stephen Curry opened up about speaking to Ayesha Curry when he was confused about dropping out from college as he was drafted in the league.Stephen Curry said, “She actually told me to stay in school because of how important finishing my degree was and the whole deal…”The four time NBA champion added, “We had just started dating, or about a year and some change in, and I was deciding whether I was gonna go to the draft or not, and, you know, communication, trust, and the whole deal — being able to… I was going through it,” Stephen recalls.Stephen Curry continued, “That conversation and the emotions that I got to share really just established the fact that she was gonna be my biggest supporter no matter what I did…”He continued, “And, you know, the idea that we’ve been through so many experiences throughout the years, I can go back to that foundation of support and being able to lean on each other through that conversation.”Though the NBA legend Stephen Curry went against Ayesha Curry’s advice, it turned out to be the best decision for him as he quickly became one of the most reliable and best athletes in the league.Shortly after, Stephen Curry popped the big question to Ayesha Curry and the two quickly tied the knot.
