GUWAHATI: The devastating floods in Assam have triggered an outpouring of support, with several celebrities and prominent personalities stepping forward to contribute to relief and rehabilitation efforts.As the flood situation continues to affect several districts, rescue and relief operations remain underway.According to news agency PTI, the latest fatality was reported from Golaghat district, taking the death toll in this year’s floods to 99.List of celebrities and prominent personalities who supported Assam flood victims:KARTIK AARYANActor Kartik Aaryan contributed Rs 1 crore to the Assam Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to support flood relief efforts in the state.Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma thanked the actor for his contribution, calling the gesture “heartening”.“Truly heartened by your generous contribution, @TheAaryanKartik. Your support will go a long way in helping the people of Assam,” CM Sarma wrote on X.RANDEEP HOODAActor Randeep Hooda joined a relief distribution programme in Sivasagar district, where he provided essential supplies to families affected by the floods.Hooda participated in a relief drive organised by Global Sikhs in the Nimaijan area and distributed rations and other essential materials among flood victims. He also visited Gurudwara Sahib in Sivasagar and offered prayers for those affected.The actor also served food through langar at the Sivasagar railway station, where several flood-affected families had arrived from surrounding areas.“Humanity is above everything else. My heart goes out to every family who has been affected by these devastating floods.
