Zoho founder Sridhar Vembu marked Independence Day with a post inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address, urging Indian companies to join the ranks of leading global enterprises. Vembu said the Prime Minister’s vision demands a deeper commitment to research and development across sectors. In a post on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) Vembu wrote, “Prime Minister Modi-ji’s Independence Day call to Indian companies to join the ranks of leading global companies is deeply inspiring. It means a stronger and deeper commitment to R&D at every level. Bharat must lead in algorithms and atoms, AI and photons, lenses and magnets, robots and rockets and all the technologies in between. Anand Mahindra Frames Freedom as Universal
Along with Vembu, Mahindra group chairman Anand Mahindra has also added his own reflection by quoting poet Subramania Bharati. Peyush Bansal Calls for vision beyond celebration
Lenskart co-founder Peyush Bansal added a practical dimension to the Independence Day reflections, highlighting the millions of Indians who cannot see the flag they salute due to lack of access to basic eyeglasses. He launched Drishti ki Daud – the Run for Vision, encouraging people to walk or run 20,000 steps on August 15 or 16.
